Sri Lankan fast bowler Matheesha Pathirana was the second most expensive buy at the IPL 2026 auction. He was also purchased by KKR for a huge sum of ₹18 crore. Further, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) purchased the uncapped India duo of Kartik Sharma and Prashant Veer for ₹14.2 crore each, while Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) spend ₹13 crore to acquire the services of Liam Livingstone.
