Kohli made his Team India debut on August 18, 2008, during an ODI against Sri Lanka. The right-handed batter soon established himself as an Indian cricket icon with stellar performances across formats.

He currently remains active in just one international format, ODIs. The seasoned campaigner retired from T20Is following India's 2024 T20 World Cup triumph. He later drew the curtains on his red-ball career in May this year.

Australia won the series 2-1. Kohli is likely to play in India's upcoming three-match home ODI series against South Africa, beginning November 30.
