Former India batter Cheteshwar Pujara's brother-in-law committed suicide in Rajkot on Wednesday, November 26. Jeet Rasikbhai Pabari, Pujara's brother-in-law, committed the act at his residence in Rajkot, according to a report in Gujarat Samachar.
The report revealed that Police investigation had begun after the officials were informed about the case. It added that Jeet's former fiancée had filed a rape case against him in 2024. Cheteshwar Pujara's brother-in-law was taken to a private hospital as soon as the police arrived from Malviya Nagar. However, Jeet was declared dead on arrival.
The body was sent for a post-mortem, and the exact reason and circumstances that led to the suicide are yet to be known. Notably, Jeet's family has resided in Rajkot for over two decades. His father, Rasikbhai Pabari, is known to be a cotton ginning factory owner, which the family has been running since they moved to Rajkot. He is a businessman who has a background in trading and entrepreneurship.
