Star India pacer Mohammed Siraj was greeted with 'RCB' chants during his appearance in AP Dhillon's recent concert at Pune. AP Dhillon, an Indo-Canadian singer-rapper and record producer, is on a tour across cities in the country.He introduced Mohammed Siraj, who attended the concert and said -"Siraj ji aaye hain yaha (Siraj sir is here)."As soon as he made the announcement, the fans went berserk and erupted in loud cheers for the star pacer. He was all smiles and also waved to the crowd as they continued to cheer for him. Moreover, the fans also began chanting 'RCB, RCB'. He has bagged six wickets in three games and is in top form. Notably, he was not named in the white-ball squads for the ongoing home series against South Africa.Mohammed Siraj's journey with RCBMohammed Siraj is known to have a special bond with the RCB franchise. He was picked by the team in 2018 and remained with them for seven seasons. Siraj was released by them after the 2024 season and moved to the Gujarat Titans (GT).In his first year at RCB, he managed 11 wickets from as many games at an average of 33.36 and an economy of 8.95. However, the franchise showed faith in him, and he was retained for the following season. Over the years, he became an integral part of the RCB set-up.His best performance for them came in 2023, where he picked up 19 wickets from 14 games at an average of 19.73 and an economy of 7.50. Overall, he featured in 87 matches for RCB and bagged 83 wickets. He remains the third-highest wicket-taker in the franchise's IPL history.
