Eden Gardens Schedule T20 World Cup 2026: Complete match list, dates, venues and timings in IST

The schedule for ICC T20 World Cup 2026 was announced on Tuesday, November 25. The 20-team event will be held from February 7 to March 8 and will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. The iconic Eden Gardens is among the eight venues chosen to hosts T20 World Cup 2026 matches. Six matches will be played at the Eden Gardens. It will also host the first semifinal if Pakistan doesn't qualify.

The first match of T20 World Cup 2026 to be played at the Eden Gardens will be a Group C match between West Indies and Bangladesh on February 7. Bangladesh will take on Italy in another Group C encounter on February 9, while England will meet Bangladesh on February 14.

Two more Group C matches will be played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. England will face Italy on February 16, while West Indies will clash with Italy on February 19. A Group 1 Super 8 match (X1 vs X3) will also played at the venue.

March 1: Match 52, Super 8, Group 1 [X1 vs S3] (7:00 PM)

(Note: Kolkata will host the first semifinal on March 4 in case Pakistan don't qualify for the knockouts)

Which are the four groups for T20 World Cup 2026?

The 20 teams taking part in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 have been split into four groups of five each. India, Pakistan, Namibia, Netherlands and the USA are in Group A. Sri Lanka, Australia, Ireland, Zimbabwe and Oman are in Group B. England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Nepal and Italy are in Group C, while South Africa, Afghanistan, New Zealand, Canada and UAE are in Group D.

Forty matches will be played in the group stage after which the top two sides from each group will progress to the Super Eights. The top four nations after the conclusion of the Super Eights will feature in the knockouts. The semifinals will be held in Kolkata/Colombo and Mumbai on March 4 and March 5 respectively, while the final will be played in Ahmedabad/Colombo on March 8.
