India batter Dhruv Jurel was dismissed for a duck as South African pacer Marco Jansen claimed a key wicket in the final over before tea on Day 3 (Monday, November 24) of the second Test. The match is being played at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.
The dismissal came on the third ball of the 36th over of India’s first innings. Jansen bowled a short delivery, and Jurel attempted a pull shot but only managed to top-edge it toward wide mid-on, where Keshav Maharaj completed a sliding catch, giving Jansen his first wicket of the innings.

India began Day 3 of the second Test at 9/0 after 6.1 overs, with KL Rahul (2) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (7) at the crease. The openers started cautiously and added 65 runs together before Rahul was dismissed for 22 by Keshav Maharaj.
Jaiswal reached his fifty but couldn’t capitalize on his start, falling to Simon Harmer for 58 off 97 balls, hitting seven fours and one six. Sai Sudharsan also failed to make an impact, departing for 15 off 40 deliveries, while Dhruv Jurel was dismissed for an 11-ball duck. At tea on Day 3, India were 102/4 after 36 overs, still trailing by 387 runs, with Rishabh Pant (6) and Ravindra Jadeja (0) at the crease.
Earlier in the Test, after electing to bat first, the visitors posted a commanding 489 in their first innings. Senuran Muthusamy led the way with a century (109), while Marco Jansen contributed 93. For the hosts, Kuldeep Yadav picked up four wickets, while Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and Ravindra Jadeja claimed two wickets apiece.
