Meanwhile, a Times of India report suggested that Iyer had to be admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) due to internal bleeding. The star batter's condition was life-threatening at one point, with his blood pressure dropping to alarmingly low levels.

The same report claimed that Iyer underwent a non-surgical procedure and his condition was now stable. Meanwhile, the Indian cricket team doctor is in Sydney to monitor the 30-year-old's day-to-day progress.
