CSK Squad IPL 2026: Complete Chennai Super Kings Player List with Prices in INR after IPL 2026 Auction

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) purchased nine players at the IPL 2026 auction in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, December 16. The five-time champions shelled out ₹14.20 crore each to purchase uncapped Indian players Kartik Sharma and Prashant Veer. Kartik and Veer are now the joint record holders for being the costliest uncapped players in the history of the IPL auction.

Kartik (19) is a hard-hitting keeper-batter from Rajasthan. In 12 T20 matches, he has scored 334 runs at an average of 30.36 and a strike rate of 162.92, with two half-centuries. As for Veer, he is a 20-year-old left-arm spinner and left-handed batter for Uttar Pradesh. He has 12 wickets in nine T20s at an economy rate of 6.45. With the bat, he has 112 runs at a strike rate of 167.16.

CSK also purchased four overseas cricketers at the IPL 2026 auction. They bought West Indies left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein and New Zealand pacer Matt Henry for ₹2 crore each. Further, Chennai purchased Australian batter Matthew Short for ₹1.5 crore and Kiwi all-rounder Zak Foulkes for ₹75 lakh. Among capped Indian players, they went for Rahul Chahar (₹5.2 crore) and Sarfaraz Khan (₹75 lakh).

CSK went into the IPL 2026 auction with a purse of ₹43.40 crore and nine slots to fill (four of them overseas).
