Virat Kohli slams massive six in nets ahead of IND vs SA 2025 2nd ODI in Raipur [Watch]

Team India batting star Virat Kohli pummelled a mighty six during a practice session at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International stadium in Raipur ahead of the second ODI against South Africa. In a video shared on social media, the right-hander played a stylish shot on the on-side off Arshdeep Singh's bowling.

The former Indian captain will be looking to continue his rich vein of form in the second ODI in Raipur, as the Men in Blue look to seal the series. Kohli looked at his vintage best in the series-opener in Ranchi on Sunday, November 30, clobbering 135 off 120 balls, laced with 11 fours and seven maximums. The veteran's innings and his partnership of 136 with Rohit Sharma propelled the Men in Blue to a total of 349/8 in 50 overs.

With regular South African captain Temba Bavuma likely to return for the second ODI, the 35-year-old said it's exciting to play against the duo of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma He said, as quoted by The Indian Express:

"The inclusion of those two guys that does bolster the team. Like we said at the start of the series, these are two guys who have a lot of experience and a lot of skill and that can only benefit the team. It is not something that we are not aware of. We played against, Rohit… I think it was in 2007, the T20 World Cup, I was still in school then. I mean, these guys have been around, so there is nothing new."

"These are world-class players. (Coming up against them is) nothing new, we have come across it. We have been on the bad end of it. But we have also had good times against them. It all just makes the series a lot more exciting," he added.

The Proteas, led by Aiden Markram, fell 17 runs short of India's total in the opening ODI.
