2026 T20 World Cup full schedule: Complete match list, dates, venues and timings in IST

The International Cricket Council (ICC) released the schedule for the 2026 T20 World Cup on Tuesday, November 25. The flagship event will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, and is slated to be held from February 7 to March 8, 2026. A total of eight venues (five from India and three from Sri Lanka) have been assigned to host the matches.

The 2026 T20 World Cup will begin with Pakistan facing the Netherlands in Colombo in a morning clash, while defending champions India kickstart their campaign with a clash against the United States of America (USA) on the evening of February 7 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The iconic venue will also host one of the semi-final clashes on March 5.

The Eden Gardens in Kolkata or the Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) in Colombo will play host to the other semi-final on March 4, depending on who makes it to the knockout stages. The final will either be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad or the SSC in Sri Lanka, contingent on whether Pakistan makes it to the summit clash or not.

The crunch fixture between India and Pakistan will be the 27th contest of the tournament, and is set to be held in Colombo on February 15.

The Men in Blue have been drawn alongside Namibia, the USA, Pakistan, and the Netherlands in Group A of the tournament. Italy, who historically qualified for the event, have been drawn in Group B, which features heavyweights England and the West Indies.

Australia and co-hosts Sri Lanka are placed together in Group C, while Group D comes across as the 'group of death' with South Africa, New Zealand, and Afghanistan being among the five teams slotted together.

The top two sides from each group will qualify for the 2026 T20 World Cup Super 8 stage, where the qualified teams will be divided into two groups of four teams. The top two teams from each Super 8 stage group will progress into the semi-final stage.
