India Women batting superstar Mithali Raj is celebrating her 43rd birthday on Wednesday, December 3. She made her debut as a 16-year-old against Ireland Women in Milton Keynes in June 1999 and scored an unbeaten hundred. The elegant right-handed batter did not look back after that.

She led India Women to two ODI World Cup finals - in 2005 and 2017. However, the Women in Blue faltered at the last hurdle. They went down to Australia in 2005 and to England in 2017. While Mithali failed to taste World Cup glory, she remains the leading run-getter in ODIs in women's cricket by some distance.

The 43-year-old legend ended her career with 232 ODI matches. In this feature, we compare her stats with those of another India batting great Virat Kohli after the latter had also played 232 one-day games.
