Changes aren't likely for India, who managed a tense 17-run win in the series opener in Ranchi. They will want to field a settled playing XI throughout the assignment and ensure that their players get enough opportunities to make an impact.

India squad for the South Africa ODI series: KL Rahul (c), Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Tilak Varma, Rishabh Pant, Washington Sundar, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Harshit Rana, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Prasidh Krishna, Arshdeep Singh, Dhruv Jurel.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma will open the batting once again for Team India. While Rohit made a half-century and seemed comfortable out in the middle, Jaiswal will want to stand up to the test of the South African left-arm seamers.

Reports suggest that Rishabh Pant and Tilak Varma had an extended net session on the eve of the match, indicating that there might be some pressure on Ruturaj Gaikwad's spot in the playing XI. However, it'll be terribly harsh on Gaikwad to drop him after just one game, and he should retain his place.

The rest of India's middle order is expected to wear a similar look. Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja will form the backbone, while Washington Sundar might continue to bat at No. 5.

Lower Order: Kuldeep Yadav, Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna

India made the smart decision to field three specialist quicks as well as a frontline spinner in Ranchi. The same is expected to continue, with dew expected in Raipur as well.

Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna and Harshit Rana will be the fast bowlers, while Kuldeep Yadav will lead the spin attack fresh off a four-fer in the previous game.
