India lost the second ODI against South Africa by four wickets in Raipur on Wednesday, December 3. The defeat meant that the three-match series was all square at 1-1.

After losing yet another toss, India did well to post 358/5 in their 50 overs. Dew rendered bowling virtually impossible in the second innings, though, and a stellar hundred from Aiden Markram dropped up a spirited chase from the Proteas.

On that note, here are India's player ratings from the second ODI against South Africa.

Yashasvi Jaiswal: 2/10

Jaiswal looked completely out of touch and struggled against South Africa's pacers. He was eventually dismissed by Marco Jansen once again, and even dropped a simple catch in the second innings that had a decisive impact on the match.

Rohit Sharma: 5/10

Rohit was starved of strike in the first few overs, and although he got a few boundaries away in quick succession, he was sent back by a good delivery from Nandre Burger.

Virat Kohli: 9.5/10

Kohli was in his element once again as he notched up his second successive century. The superstar batter was in perfect control out in the middle and took on both pace and spin with ease.

Ruturaj Gaikwad: 9/10

Gaikwad played his best international knock till date, matching Kohli stroke for stroke. His strike rotation was admirable, and he capitalized on anything in his zone to notch up his maiden century. While he was lucky at the start of his innings, the right-hander did everything in his power to make the selectors take note.

KL Rahul: 8/10

Rahul, returned to his favored No. 5 role, played a special knock that took India to a par total given the conditions. He played some sumptuous shots and didn't waste any time after getting to the crease. The Indian stand-in skipper's decisions in the second innings divided opinion.

Ravindra Jadeja: 5/10

Jadeja was awfully scratchy, and his painstaking knock prevented India from achieving a bigger total. With plenty of dew around, the left-arm spinner bowled a decently economical spell and generated turn. However, he misfielded two boundaries that proved costly.

Washington Sundar: 3/10

Sundar once again looked completely lost with the bat and couldn't make much of an impact in the chase. India will expect more from the young all-rounder.

Prasidh Krishna: 4/10

Prasidh didn't bowl as poorly as his figures suggested, but he definitely didn't hit the right areas often enough. Anything loose was capitalized upon by the South African batters, and although he picked up a couple of key wickets, he didn't do enough to keep runs in check.

Kuldeep Yadav: 4.5/10

Kuldeep, struggling amid heavy dew, didn't have one of his better outings in an India shirt. The left-arm wrist-spinner picked up a wicket, but his lack of control through the middle overs cost the Men in Blue. He too was disappointing on the field.

Harshit Rana: 7/10

Rana was decent throughout the innings, using his cutters and yorkers to good effect. While he went for a couple of sixes later in the piece, he tried his best in conditions that were awfully difficult.

Arshdeep Singh: 7/10

Like Rana, Arshdeep did well given the situation he was in. The left-armer used his variations well and did his best to bring India back into the game.
