New Zealand star Daryl Mitchell has been crowned as the new No.1-ranked ODI batter in the latest ICC rankings. The 34-year-old replaces Indian batting superstar and former skipper Rohit Sharma. Mitchell, who has been in impressive form, recently smacked 119 off 118 balls against West Indies in Christchurch. The knock featured 12 fours and two sixes.

As per the updated ICC Men's ODI batting rankings, Mitchell has 782 rating points, while Rohit has 781. The duo are followed by Afghanistan's Ibrahim Zadran (764), and the Indian pair of Shubman Gill (745) and Virat Kohli (725). Mitchell is only the second New Zealand batter to climb to the top of the Men's ODI rankings. Before him, Glenn Turner was ranked No.1 in ODIs in 1979.
