New Zealand cricketer Daryl Mitchell has become the new No.1-ranked ODI batter in the latest ICC rankings. Mitchell has taken over the top spot from former India captain Rohit Sharma. The Kiwi star smashed a brilliant hundred against West Indies in Christchurch recently.

Mitchell has 782 rating points in the updated ICC Men's ODI batting rankings. Rohit has 781 and is followed by Ibrahim Zadran (764), Shubman Gill (745) and Virat Kohli (725). Mitchell is only the second New Zealand batter to hold the top spot in the Men's ODI rankings, emulating Glenn Turner, who was ranked No. 1 in ODIs back in 1979.
