Veteran West Indies and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) all-rounder Andre Russell has announced his retirement from the Indian Premier League (IPL). The 37-year-old represented KKR in the IPL for 11 consecutive seasons from 2014 to 2025. However, he was released by the franchise ahead of the IPL 2026 season.

The star cricketer took to his official social media handles on Sunday, November 30 and informed fans of his decision to quit the Indian T20 league. The seasoned all-rounder, however, added that he would continue playing in various leagues all around the world and for all the other KKR franchises. He also revealed that he would remain with KKR as 'power coach' for IPL 2026.
