South Africa pulled level in the three-match series against India on Wednesday, December 3. The Proteas clinched a four-wicket win in Raipur to force a decider in the rubber.

India had a strange outing in the second ODI. While a few key middle-order batters made an impression, the bowlers did well in conditions that were heavily skewed in South Africa's favor. On the whole, it was a mixed bag from the hosts, whose players fell on both sides of the coin.

On that note, here are two Indian players who flopped and one who starred in the second ODI against South Africa.

#3 Flop - Washington Sundar

Batting at No. 6 this time, Washington Sundar looked completely lost out in the middle. He couldn't rotate strike against the South African bowlers at a stage when India needed him to accelerate, and that put him and his partner under serious pressure.

That pressure told, as Sundar set off for a non-existent run to be caught well short of his crease by Corbin Bosch and Quinton de Kock. The left-hander's dismissal also meant that Ravindra Jadeja, the last recognized batter, couldn't take risks until the end of the first innings.

Sundar couldn't make much of an impact with the ball either, as his four overs went for 28 runs without producing a wicket. India need to evaluate whether they can afford to field him in a playing XI that has only seven batting options.

#2 Star - Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli continued from where he left off in Ranchi as he essayed another splendid knock in Raipur. The superstar batter notched up a brilliant century, which was an utterly effortless knock.

Kohli started positively once again, striking a six over fine leg and a few boundaries to get going. He rotated strike well in the middle overs and took the attack to South Africa's bowlers whenever he was given something in his arc.

Kohli's form has never really dipped in recent times in the 50-over format, but now he seems to be close to what he was during his prime.

#1 Flop - Yashasvi Jaiswal

A hugely talented batter, Yashasvi Jaiswal hasn't been able to put it together in the ODI series against South Africa so far. The left-hander struggled during his 38-ball stay in Raipur before eventually being bounced out by Marco Jansen.

Jaiswal started positively with an uppish drive, but he couldn't find a way to take the attack to the Proteas inside the powerplay. He got stuck against Nandre Burger and Jansen, while even Lungi Ngidi managed to keep the runs down. The opener had dug himself into a serious hole by the time he played the pull shot that got him out.

Jaiswal also dropped a costly catch at long-on that would've seen Aiden Markram back in the hut well before his century. While he tried to make amends in the field as the game wore on, his catching in recent months has been rather shocking.
