Amid his ongoing scandal and brewing legal troubles, former Michigan football head coach Sherrone Moore seemingly has the support of his wife, Kelli. Moore’s coaching career came crashing down last week with his job terminated by the Wolverines over allegations of an improper relationship with a staffer.

It has been a roller coaster since then, as the 39-year-old was subsequently arrested for stalking and detained in a county jail. He was later released on bail and has been charged with stalking and home invasion.

However, he seems to be keeping a united home front after he was sighted with his wife on a visit to his attorney, Joe Simon. The couple was photographed on Sunday morning, with Moore walking ahead, pushing a stroller with his youngest daughter, as Kelli was a few paces behind.

It was the first time Moore had been publicly seen with his wife since the news of his scandal broke last week. The couple has been married since 2015, with three daughters between them.

The family has largely managed to stay out of public scrutiny, even with Moore’s hiring as Michigan's head coach. However, it is expected that they’ll come under increasingly intense scrutiny amid the media attention coming from Moore’s ongoing scandal.

Sherrone Moore’s rise at Michigan

Sherrone Moore secured what is a dream job for many in college football as Michigan's head coach two seasons ago after the Wolverines’ national triumph. He was promoted to replace his former boss Jim Harbaugh, who had also exited Ann Arbor amid scandals over signal-stealing and recruiting violations.

Moore had also been implicated in the scandals, serving a one-game suspension at the start of the 2023 season. He served another two-game suspension this fall and was set to start the 2026 season with a one-game suspension.

In his two seasons as the Wolverines’ head coach, Sherrone Moore posted a 17-8 record. He ended his first season with an 8-5 record, which he improved on this fall as the team finished the regular season 9-3.

Michigan didn’t take long to move on from Moore’s exit, apparently, naming Biff Poggi as its interim head coach. Poggi will be leading the team to the Citrus Bowl, where it’s billed to face the Texas Longhorns on New Year’s Eve.

Poggi called the play during Moore’s absence in two games earlier this season, compiling a 2-0 record. He’ll be hoping to replicate this against Texas on Dec. 31.
