Michigan superfan Dave Portnoy roasts Urban Meyer for “nervous gloves” moment on FOX ahead of Ohio State clash

Michigan superfan Dave Portnoy has taken a cheeky dig at former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer just a few hours before the Wolverines-Buckeyes game kicks off on Saturday. When Meyer was speaking about Lane Kiffin's situation at Ole Miss on Fox's "Big Noon Kickoff," another crew member asked the former coach about his gloves, which didn't seem to be fitted correctly.

Meyer then joked that he found it hard to get his glove to fit along with his championship rings. However, Portnoy took the opportunity to mock the former Buckeyes coach for being nervous ahead of the Ohio State-Michigan game.

"@CoachUrbanMeyer is so nervous about today he can’t even put his gloves on right! #GoBlue," Portnoy tweeted.

Meyer also had some fun with the Michigan fans at Ann Arbor before the game. When the Wolverine faithful expressed their displeasure at Meyer by booing him outside Michigan Stadium, the ex-Ohio State coach stood up and turned to the crowd with a smirk and a salute.

Meyer then held up seven fingers and mouthed "seven wins" to remind Michigan fans about his perfect record against the Wolverines during his time with the Buckeyes.

Dave Portnoy and Urban Meyer have agreed to a friendly wager ahead of the Ohio State-Michigan game during "Big Noon Kickoff."

If the Buckeyes lose against the Wolverines on Saturday, Meyer will be contributing $1,000 toward Michigan’s name, image and likeness fund.

Portnoy was already convinced that UM was receiving a paycheck from Meyer.

“We’re going to get an Urban Meyer check made out to the University of Michigan football program,” Portnoy said. “He’s going to help us keep beating them.”

However, if the Buckeyes beat the Wolverines, Portnoy will do the same for Ohio State.
