Reports claim that LSU and Florida are two programs looking to prise Kiffin away from Ole Miss. Amid the rumored interest from several teams in its coach, Ole Miss has reportedly given Kiffin a deadline before Nov. 28 to decide on his future.

The Rebels will play their final regular-season game against Mississippi State, the Egg Bowl, on Nov. 28. They have an open week in the upcoming Week 13.

Kiffin has remained non-committal on his future at Ole Miss. On Saturday, after the Rebels beat Florida 34-24, he avoided a question on whether he will remain at the program next season.

The Rebels fans will have an anxious wait until Kiffin makes it clear that he wants to stay at the school. Per reports, Kiffin has a contract with Ole Miss that ties him down through the 2031 season.

“Yeah, I mean, Ole Miss has not played at the highest level lately, but they’re getting by,” Finebaum said on "Matt Barrie Show" on Sunday. “I don’t understand Florida. Let’s not waste a lot of time on them. One week they take off; the next week they come back and look like a team that’s capable of making a run. Lane Kiffin is the story right now. As the week unfolded last week, the Kiffin rumors started going crazy.

"We’re not here to discuss rumors, but you could not avoid it and everybody seems to know something. He is going to have a difficult time these next couple of weeks dealing with it because everything seems to be pointing toward Florida. It appears the governor did a good job of taking Lane Kiffin out of the LSU situation. Now, how does he deal with it?”
