Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin had a heated confrontation with reporter and podcaster Ben Garrett on Friday, after his team's 38-19 win over Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl. While leaving the field, Kiffin came face-to-face with Garrett to confront the reporter over some harsh comments he aimed at the coach earlier in the week. While covering Ole Miss on his "Talk of Champions" podcast, Garrett said, “can’t turn a h*e into a housewife; h*es don’t act right,” in reference to Kiffin’s seemingly growing reputation for job-hopping during his ongoing stint.
“You want to walk in here and call me a h*e?” Kiffin said to Garrett during a face-to-face confrontation. “We’ll see how that goes.”
However, during Kiffin's news conference later on Friday, another reporter asked the Rebels coach about his confrontation with Garrett. The reporter also said that Garrett used the phrase to reference commitment, and he didn't actually call Kiffin a 'h*e,' but the Ole Miss coach appeared to deflect the question.
"Let’s move on from that,” Kiffin said. "I’m not playing down to your game. I actually don’t even know your name.”
Kiffin's current contract at Ole Miss reportedly runs through December 2031. However, he has been noncommittal about coaching the Rebels next season.
Ole Miss HC Lane Kiffin expected to make a decision on his future on Saturday

Lane Kiffin has led the Rebels to a historic 11-win season. Ole Miss is also effectively set to play in the College Football Playoff for the first time.
However, it's unclear whether Kiffin will coach the Rebels in the playoffs.
Per reports, Kiffin is expected to make a decision on his future on Saturday, with LSU seemingly interested in hiring him.
