Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin has been linked with a move to LSU over the last few days and former LSU National champion Breiden Fehoko thinks Kiffin is making the switch.
Barstool Sports' Jack Mac shared that LSU sent two jets to pick Kiffin, labelling it as a "power play." However, Fehoko denied those claims, saying:
"Jack, trust me. I was this rabbit hole non believer just like you, thinking every move was a chess move. Heβs coming. I know that for a fact now. Itβs not a power move. Itβs LSU bringing their guy home."
Fehoko, a former Nose tackle, spent two years with LSU from 2017 to 2019, winning the national championship in his final year in college football. He signed with the Los Angeles Chargers after going undrafted in the 2020 NFL draft.
According to the latest report from ESPN's Marty Smith, the Ole Miss coach is expected to hold a meeting on Sunday morning to make the announcement about his future with the team. Smith wrote on X:
"NEWS: Ole Miss sources tell me Lane Kiffin will hold a 9am team meeting Sunday morning, and have an announcement regarding his future afterwards."
The Ole Miss coach's future remains uncertain after delivering an 11-1 season this year.
Lane Kiffin expected to sign long-term deal with LSU to conclude Ole Miss stint
Earlier this week, after Ole Miss defeated Mississippi State 38-19 in the Egg Bowl, Lane Kiffin said he felt he had to make the decision about the coaching role over the weekend.
"I got to do some praying and figure this thing out," Kiffin said. "I can get to that tomorrow. I live life about one day at a time. Maybe that doesn't help you, but I've learned to live that way for about six years now, five years. That helps me."
According ESPN's Pete Thamel, Kiffin is expected to take a seven-year deal to join LSU and it would be a "shock" if he remained at Ole Miss.
