Deion Sanders has been the talk of the town amid Colorado's tumultuous season so far. The Buffs are 14th in the Big 12 with a 3-6 (1-5) record, leading to rumors that the program may consider firing Coach Prime.
On Friday, Colorado's athletic director, Rick George, appeared to shut down any rumors of firing Sanders.
"I support Coach Prime 100%," George tweeted in response to a fan who pointed out that legendary CU coach Bill McCartney struggled in his first three years with the program before delivering success.
Colorado hired Sanders in December 2022. He led the team to a 4-8 record in his first season.
Last season, the Buffs were one of the most improved teams in the country, finishing with a 9-4 record. CU also produced last year's Heisman Trophy winner, Travis Hunter.
In the offseason, Colorado offered Sanders a five-year, $54 million extension. Sanders also said that he planned to take CU to another level after losing some key players in the draft. However, things have not gone in the right direction for the Buffs this season.
Deion Sanders' Colorado will face West Virginia in Week 11 of 2025 college football season

Deion Sanders' Colorado will face the West Virginia Mountaineers (3-6) in their Week 11 clash on Saturday. The game will kick off at noon ET from Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown, West Virginia.
The Mountaineers are coming off a solid 45-23 win against Houston from last Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Buffs are on a two-game losing streak. If CU wants to qualify for a bowl game, it has to win its three remaining games in the regular season.
