The Fracture mission in Black Ops 7 is one of the most unusual tasks in the game's campaign, pulling you between two different realities while you chase a drone, solve a strange keypad puzzle, and eventually face a monstrous version of Harper.

This guide breaks down the Fracture mission into clear steps so you can move smoothly from the opening sequence to the final encounter.

The Fracture mission in Call of Duty Black Ops 7 has four main tasks for you: trailing the drone, disabling its lock system, uncovering a keypad code, and defeating the creature at the end. Each stage feels very different, so take your time.

Follow the drone

You start on a torn-up highway that looks like it survived a massive collapse. The drone you are tracking is slowly gliding ahead, and as long as you follow its marker, you will stay on track.

Once you reach the end of the stretch, a red portal will tear open in front of you. Walking through it will drop you into the twisted version of the highway, where the environment behaves unpredictably.

Enemies will appear right away. These enforcers are more of a warm-up than a real threat, but they show up in clusters, so stay mobile and clear them before moving forward.

As you progress, you'll notice that the ground breaks into fragments and abandoned vehicles float in strange angles. Climb on the cars and hop onto the elevated slabs of road until you reach a floating platform that bridges the gap to the next section.

The next area ramps up the tension. Cars blink into existence and speed toward you without warning. The safest way to handle this is to stay close to the right lane and immediately sidestep when you see a car approaching you. Getting hit sends you straight back to your last checkpoint.

Once you make it through the oncoming traffic, another red portal will appear. Step through, and the twisted world will fade out, bringing you back to normal terrain.

Disable the drone’s security lock

When you return to the real world, the Fracture mission becomes more straightforward. Move along the highway, weaving through abandoned traffic and clearing scattered groups of enforcers. Eventually, you will reach a security panel connected to the drone’s system. Activating it starts a brief defense segment where enemies try to overwhelm you while the lock-disabling process completes.

Keep switching your position and avoid camping in one spot. When the timer hits zero, a cutscene will play and shift you to a warehouse interior. Your task now is to reach another connection point deeper inside the area.

Exit the warehouse and sweep the nearby courtyard. Once the area is safe, head into the Asian inspired building marked on your HUD. Inside, you will eventually come across a keypad next to a sealed sliding door. You cannot brute force it, so you must solve the puzzle.

Solve the keypad puzzle

Directly opposite the locked door is a terminal that you can hack. Interact with it and rotate the moving panels until energy flows across the board. While you do this, 50/50 will share part of the keypad code. She will only remember the first two numbers, 8 and 3, but she will repeat them twice, hinting at a mirrored pattern.

Beat the monster

Beyond the door is a small garden populated by combat bots. Clear them out and follow the path until you reach a wooden door that leads to another story cutscene. When it ends, you will be pushed back into the twisted world to face something far more dangerous.

A monstrous version of Harper will appear, towering over you. The creature disappears often and sends smaller clones to scatter your focus. It is usually easier to clean up the clones first, then unload on the giant when he reappears.
