Team Soul crowned champions of CEGC 2025 BGMI

The Chennai Esports Global Championship (CEGC) 2025 BGMI concluded on November 16, with Team Soul emerging victorious. The team scored 162 points in 16 matches of the Grand Finals, earning four Chicken Dinners and 107 eliminations. Soul walked away with a ₹21 lakh cash prize. Furthermore, their captain, Nakul, won the Best IGL award.

True Rippers also had a magnificent run, as the Jelly-led squad emerged as the runner-up in the event. The team accumulated 136 points with the help of two Chicken Dinners and 88 eliminations. Their star player, Hydra, performed well in the final and was crowned the FMVP. The team was also the runner-up in the BMIC 2025. The club is set to represent India in the PMGC 2025.

The Grand Finals of the CEGC 2025 followed the Smash Rule and were held from November 14 to 16 in Chennai. After crossing the 139-point mark (Target Point), Team Soul managed to win the 16th game of the finale as well as the tournament. The total prize pool of the event was ₹50 lakh.

Weltz and NONX scored 97 points each in the finale after their average performances. FS Esports failed to maintain its consistency and ended up in eighth place with 96 points and two Chicken Dinners. Versatile also had a mediocre run, finishing 11th with 93 points.

K9 Esports, led by BGMI pro Omega, was 13th with 79 points. Blitz and Cincinnati Kids also struggled in the finale, placing 14th and 15th with 72 and 60 points, respectively. Team Tamilas had disastrous performances, finishing 16th with only 39 points.
