India’s Team Orangutan ranks 11th in PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2025 Gauntlet Stage

Orangutan from India finished 11th in the Gauntlet Stage of the PMGC 2025 after delivering mediocre performances. The Aaru-led squad scored 96 points in 18 games and was unable to win a single match in the stage. They took 57 eliminations and 39 position points in the process. The squad will now fight in the Group Stage.

The Gauntlet Stage of the PMGC 2025 featured seven spots for the Grand Finals. The remaining nine teams have advanced to the Group Stage. R8 Esports had an outstanding run in the Gauntlet, as they grabbed the top spot with 154 points, including 105 eliminations. ThunderTalk from China also performed impressively, placing second with 147 points.

The Indian squad had a good start to the Global Championship 2025, ranking fourth in the overall standings after Day 1. The team secured 43 points in its first six matches of the Gauntlet Stage.

However, Team Orangutan was unable to maintain its consistency on Day 2 of the stage, accumulating only 22 points over six matches. As a result, the team slumped to 10th position in the overall standings after Day 2 of the stage.

The Indian club failed to improve its ranking on Day 3, managing to collect only 31 points in its last six matches of the Gauntlet Stage. The team ended up in 11th position in the overall rankings after all 18 matches.

Many well-known teams, like DRX, Regnum Carya, and Alpha Gaming, also failed to perform well in the stage. GS Team and Geekay were in the bottom two of the overall points table.

These bottom nine teams from the Gauntlet Stage will contest in the Group Stage. They will aim to improve their play and qualify for the PMGC 2025 Grand Finals. 23 teams from the regional events will also play in the Group Stage. Notably, True Rippers from India will also play in the upcoming stage.
