San Antonio Spurs vs Phoenix Suns preview

The Suns’ win in their first meeting with San Antonio was a coaching clinic from Jordan Ott. In that game, Victor Wembanyama posted a season-low nine points on 4-of-14 shooting and committed six turnovers, his second-highest total of the year.

Phoenix’s offense also clicked that night, with Devin Booker putting up 28 points and 13 assists, Ryan Dunn and Grayson Allen adding 17 each and four other Suns scoring in double figures.

However, both teams look different heading into this rematch.

For the Spurs, Wembanyama, along with young guards Stephon Castle and Dylan Harper, will be unavailable. But De’Aaron Fox, Kelly Olynyk, Luke Kornet, Lindy Waters III and Jeremy Sochan, all absent in the first game, will be available. For the Suns, Allen will be sidelined.

Phoenix has been rolling offensively as well; over the past 11 contests, the Suns rank fifth in made 3-pointers, shooting 40.2%, the third-best mark in the league. They also sit third in defensive rating and third in net rating.
