At this point, there is no denying that the gambling scandal has tarnished the NBA's image. Since Jontay Porter's gambling scandal, the league was hit with the worst scandal when the FBI named current and former NBA players in the gambling allegations.

The gambling allegations came at a time when sports betting has become a big part of the game, not only for bettors but also for the fans. With the league's image taking a big hit, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has also taken a lot of heat.

While Silver himself has been going around, trying to avoid the league's name getting tarnished, Draymond Green also showed his support for the NBA Commissioner.

"There's a there are bad apples in anything. You go to any business, there's a bad apple," Green said. "You go to any sport, any organization, anything, there's bad apples everywhere. But let's not try to act like Adam Silver has just built this league that does not care about people. ...Cut it out."

"That's ridiculous. And the league Adam has built has been incredible. It's doing great has ever done is larger than it's ever been. Everything that's great hits tough times."
"This was a tough thing on our league. Guess what? When you build great like Adam has done, like David Stern before Adam, when you build great you plow through the tough times and continue to grow. And that's what's going to happen right here. So, cut the crap." (Timestamp 28:53)

Draymond Green sends love to Chauncey Billups amid gambling

Chauncey Billups was one of the most surprising names in the federal indictment. Billups was named in two cases, one involving a poker-related indictment and the other in which the Portland Trail Blazers coach revealed that his team was going to tank the game.

Among former and current players who have been named in the indictment, people inside and outside the NBA have spoken in support of Billups, including LA Clippers coach Tyronn Lue. Draymond Green also came in support of the NBA champion and the Blazers coach.

"Chauncey Billups, I've known since I was 16 years old. Um, I'm not getting off into all the allegations, all of those things, but I most importantly just want to send my love. I want to send my love to Chauncey. Always been incredible to me. Always been a big brother to me. Always showed me nothing but love. I send my love back to Chauncey's family. I send my love. I send my support."

The federal indictment tied Billups' name to the mafia that was charged with the illegal poker operation. Billups' lawyer has denied the allegations and said that it was false, calling his client a "man of integrity."
