The Dallas Mavericks will face the LA Clippers on Saturday night at the Intuit Dome. Playing on the second night of a back-to-back, the Mavericks announced key injury updates after Friday's loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Anthony Davis, who returned after a 14-game absence and played on a minute restriction against his former team, will miss Saturday's game. Davis will be out citing left calf injury management. He sustained the injury on Oct. 29 against the Indiana Pacers.
Davis looked healthy against the Lakers, playing 28 minutes and tallying 12 points, five rebounds, five assists and three blocks in the 129-119 loss. He shot 60.0% from the floor.
However, Jason Kidd didn't take too long to announce his absence against the Clippers, delivering the news after the Lakers' game. Dallas has taken a cautious approach with Davis and will likely continue doing so for the foreseeable future.

Meanwhile, Cooper Flagg has been dealing with a right thumb splint and has appeared on the injury report for multiple weeks. However, he hasn't missed time due to the ailment and will play on Saturday. Flagg ended Friday's game without any injury concerns, dropping 13 points, seven rebounds, 11 assists and three steals on 45.5% shooting.
The Dallas Mavericks will remain without Dereck Lively II, Kyrie Irving and Dante Exum. Lively is dealing with a foot injury and will miss at least two more games. He hasn't played since Nov. 21. Irving is ramping up from an ACL surgery and has no timetable for a return. Exum is out for the season after undergoing knee surgery.
