After Cooper Flagg's career night, Kyrie Irving cited Kendrick Lamar's lyrics in his social media post. Despite the ongoing tough season and with their best players watching from the bench, the Dallas Mavericks took down the LA Clippers on Saturday.

Flagg burst out for a career-high 35 points against Kawhi Leonard and Co. to lead the Mavs to a 110-114 road game victory. The star rookie shot 15 of 22 field goals in 38 minutes.

Shortly after the game, Kyrie Irving made his emotions clear with a post on X. The All-Star player posted bars from Kendrick Lamar's Mortal Man lyrics.

Aside from leading his team to a win, Flagg had a historic game against the Clippers. He became the youngest player to have a 35+ points game. The last record was held by LeBron James. It was also the most points by a rookie this season.

While Kyrie Irving continues to recover from the ACL surgery, Cooper Flagg's rookie season is proving to be a preview of a dominant Mavs in the next few years.

The Dallas Mavericks are set for a disastrous season. However, there is no denying the fact that they could eventually benefit from. The Mavs' tanking could help them in next year's draft, which is the only first-round draft pick they own in the next few years.

Amid the ongoing disastrous season, there have been speculations about Kyrie Irving's future with the team. There has been chatter about the NBA champion being on the trade block.

According to Mavs' reporter Tim McMahon, Dallas had no intention of trading Irving. However, the ESPN reporter added that Anthony Davis' trade was a real possibility.

“Kyrie Irving has been a phenomenal leader really since he stepped foot in Dallas," McMahon said on his Howdy Partners podcast on Thursday. "He's been a huge positive in terms of the culture and the vibe. ... If ...Kyrie is here, Kyrie can be the leader. Kyrie can serve a lot in that spokesman role. He can help you be competitive."

The NBA Insider added that the Mavs believe that having Irving around Cooper Flagg could prove to be beneficial for the young star, both in terms of growth and leadership.
