Detroit Tigers utility player Zach McKinstry's wife, Karra, sent love to Kansas City Royals reliever Lucas Erceg and his wife, Emma, who are celebrating the upcoming arrival of their baby girl.
On Sunday, Karra shared a story on social media, featuring an outdoor setting, where a group of four women raised glasses in celebration. She captioned the post:
"so much fun celebrating our girl @emmaeregg 🤍✨ can’t wait for baby girl to be here so soon."

Lucas Erceg and Emma's romantic story started when they first met at Menlo College. They dated for almost six years before getting engaged in July 2021 and tying the knot in 2022.
Erceg, who has remained sober for a while now, is now expecting his baby girl with Emma. However, their relationship went through a firestorm, which came to a point where Erceg had to overcome his addiction.
Emma once gave Lucas Erceg an ultimatum to overcome his addiction
One of Lucas Erceg's hardest battles in his life was overcoming his alcohol addiction. Back when the Covid-19 pandemic was at its peak, Erceg started drinking too much. According to Erceg, he drank to forget his childhood trauma, since he was raised by an alcoholic mother and faced abuse.
"I always used baseball as an outlet to kind of get away from all that and just go out and compete," Erceg said via ESPN. "I had natural abilities, and I had that natural fire, that natural competitor in me that kind of took me to the next level quickly.
"But I wasn't a man, you know what I mean? I didn't make the right decisions. And I think that's when alcoholism kind of imploded on me and took over who I was as a person."
It was getting too much for Emma, as she finally gave the reliever an ultimatum to start working on getting sober within two weeks or she would leave him for good. The reality check from Emma struck Lucas hard, who started working on getting sober to keep the relationship with the love of his life alive.
Instead of joining rehab, Lucas willed himself past addiction. Early days were not good as he lost 40 pounds and even struggled to eat or drink anything as he suffered from intense withdrawal.
He has now been sober for over three years now and is ready to welcome a new member into their family.
