Free agent starting pitcher Walker Buehler received a special shout-out from his wife, McKenzie, on Thursday. The duo, who met each other in childhood, celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary.

McKenzie posted throwback moments from their wedding, including black and white snapshots from the time they said yes to forever. Tagging Buehler, McKenzie wrote:

"Happy anniversary, babe."

She also posted a cozy moment from the after-party of the wedding ceremony.

Walker Buehler and McKenzie attended kindergarten together. They were in eighth grade when McKenzie asked Buehler to accompany her to the mall. They dated in high school. Buehler proposed to her in Nov. 2020, and the two tied the knot in December 2021.

Walker Buehler and McKenzie welcomed their first child, a daughter named Finley Wren Buehler, on January 31, 2024. They have also adopted a French bulldog named Nala in 2019 and reside primarily in Lexington, Kentucky.

Walker Buehler is from Lexington, Kentucky, and his wife, McKenzie, also grew up in Kentucky. She earned degrees in Family Science and Elementary Education from the University of Kentucky.

Earlier in October, the duo went back to their home state to attend the program's football game at Kroger Field against the Vanderbilt Commodores. The duo posed from the field in casual outfits, matching signature Kentucky colors.

In that game, the Wildcats were defeated 20-13. Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia completed 15 out of 18 passes for 143 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Meanwhile, Kentucky's Brock Vandagriff completed 15 of 25 passes for 158 yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, on the baseball front, Buehler began the year with the Red Sox, but after going 7-7 with a 5.45 ERA across 22 starts, he was released on Aug. 29. He joined the Philadelphia Phillies on a minor league deal.
