Dodgers starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto was about to deliver the first pitch in the bottom of the sixth, but the broadcast zoomed in on his face before he turned back. In a viral video, a fan could be seen charging the field from the left-center stands.

As he held the flag in front of him, a security guard hit him, and it fell. The fan continued to run, trying to evade the rest of the personnel, who were charging in from all corners of the Rogers Centre, but was brought down immediately and taken off the field by security and two uniformed policemen.

The fan's rogueness comes at a time when geopolitical tensions between Canada and the United States are at an all-time high. Since US President Donald Trump came into office this year, tensions have spilled over to their respective shared sports as fans from each country have booed the other's national anthem.

Recently, a World Series advertisement run by the Ontario Provincial government, featuring former US President Ronald Reagan, had to be taken down after Trump imposed extra tariffs on Canada for misleading the citizens.

Dodgers force Game 7 after strong collective pitching effort

The Dodgers used four pitchers to contain the Blue Jays to just a solitary run on 8 hits and 2 walks as they leveled the tie at 3-3. Yamamoto pitched six innings of one run ball before he was relieved by Justin Wrobelski. Roki Sasaki was trusted to get the final six outs but was chased from the game in the bottom of the ninth.

Tyler Glasnow came to the mound with two runners on base. Ernie Clement popped out for the first out before Ernie Clement lined out to Kike Hernandez in the outfield who forced out Addison Barger at second base to secure the game-ending double play. The two teams face off on Saturday for the series finale.
