In a recent call on MLB Network Radio, LA Dodgers pitcher Tyler Glasnow shut down ongoing trade rumors. The 32-year-old had been linked to the Tarik Skubal package after the team’s preliminary talks with the Detroit Tigers. However, Glasnow confirmed that he’s not going anywhere following his talk with Dodgers President of Baseball Operations Andrew Friedman. Glasnow admitted that the rumors made him feel uneasy, especially since he feels “blessed” to be able to play in a Dodger uniform.“Seen some rumors that I would get traded for him, so it’s like, I don’t know what to believe. I’ve talked to Andrew and our front office, and they’re like ‘No, you’re not going anywhere.’ So, they told me I’m not going to get traded, and I trust them, so that’s obviously a nice feeling.”“I think too any time I do get like overwhelmed or stressed with baseball, I think sometimes it's nice to just be able to like zoom out and be like, ‘Dude, what are you freaking out about? Like you’re literally living your dream playing in Dodger Stadium.’”Tyler Glasnow further added that it’s times like these when he feels special to be part of a group aiming to win the World Series back-to-back. He said he sometimes just zooms out while sitting in the dugout, as it feels like a dream come true. The Dodgers are trying for a three-peat in 2026 and have been aggressive in free agency. They recently signed Edwin Diaz to a three-year, $69 million deal and have been involved in talks over Skubal. However, it seems the team will take a different approach with Glasnow not being part of the trade conversation.Tyler Glasnow comments on recent Edwin Diaz signingTyler Glasnow and Edwin Diaz [Credit: Imagn]Tyler Glasnow said he found out about Edwin Diaz's signing two days after the deal was made. He expects Diaz to be a key part of the bullpen, given how the Dodgers struggled in relief this past season.“Yeah, it was wild. I don't even remember where I was. I was at home at that point, and I looked online. And, like, I'm so bad at checking my phone and, like, Instagram and all that stuff. So, probably, I think I found out, like, two days later.”“So I found out and, like, reached out to him on Instagram and, like, talked a little bit about it. But it was great…We've got some unbelievable arms in there, and I think just to add him to that spot, just like a high leverage guy is just so huge for our team.”Glasnow believes that the Dodgers are far from done in free agency. Apart from Diaz, the team has been in conversations and on the lookout for key players and is expected to add more before the 2026 season run.
