Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Ty France won his first Gold Glove Award of his career for his defensive efforts in the 2025 season. France led all MLB first basemen with +10 Outs Above Average (OAA) to go along with .996. He ranked among the league leaders in Defensive Runs Saved.
On Sunday, France's wife, Maggie, was proud of her husband. She reposted a graphic from the Blue Jays' official Instagram account, announcing the achievement, and added a four-word reaction:
"Being proud of you!!"

After winning the Gold Glove, Ty France becomes the second first baseman in Blue Jays history to win the award. Blue Jays slugger Vladimir Guerrero Jr. won the award at first base in 2022.
France started the season with the Minnesota Twins before being traded to the Blue Jays at the trade deadline.
Ty France's wife Maggie appreciates son Luka for being a good son during postseason
The Blue Jays and Ty France just had an intense postseason, where the club fell just short of ending the 32-year drought of winning the World Series. They lost Game 7 5-4 to the Los Angeles Dodgers over the weekend.
After the loss, Maggie posted a photo of herself holding their son Luka, who was born in Apr. 2024. Along with the warm picture, she also wrote a caption dedication to their son:
"Appreciation post for this boy. He was an absolute rockstar through all the postseason chaos of late games and long haul flights. Kids are truly so resilient and I am so beyond proud of him."

The Blue Jays made it to the postseason, qualifying as the best team in the AL East. They defeated the New York Yankees in the ALDS to set the ALCS encounter with the Detroit Tigers. That series also went to Game 7, where George Springer hit a go-ahead three-run home run in the seventh inning to seal the game.
Ty France and Maggie have been married since January 2022. They celebrated their third anniversary last month by posting throwback photos.
