"Cheers to this new chapter roomies!!!" Frick captioned her post with a picture of Yesavage.

Yesavage made his MLB debut in September and had just three regular-season starts under his belt before making his postseason debut. The Blue Jays rookie grabbed the attention after striking out 11 batters over 5.1 shutout innings against the New York Yankees in Game 2 of the American League Divison Series.

However, the best performance of his rookie season was against the Dodgers in Game 5 of the World Series, as Yesavage pitched 7.1 innings of one-run ball and 12 strikeouts, helping the team take a 3-2 lead with his historic performance.

He pitched from the bullpen in the series-deciding Game 7, which ended in a 5-4 loss in extra innings. Despite the defeat, his girlfriend, Taylor Frick, claimed the Blue Jays rookie "won" in an emotional Instagram post.

"To me, you won from the second you stepped on that Toronto field," Frick wrote. You won with a team that believed in you, the records you have broken, & the support that is more than we could have ever imagined. You won my love, you won from the beginning 🤍"

Trey Yesavage made a big impression in his rookie year and the Blue Jays will be expecting big things from the 22-year-old in the future.
