Trey Yesavage’s fiancée Taylor Frick announces her bridesmaids as couple celebrates with a romantic kiss and champagne

Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Trey Yesavage announced his engagement to his longtime girlfriend, Taylor Frick. The duo has been in a relationship since their official Instagram announcement in 2023.

On Thursday, Yesavage dropped to one knee for a beachside proposal to his now-fiancée, Taylor Frick. And in an Instagram story on Sunday, Taylor gave a shoutout to her two best friends, Trinity Dunlap and Lauren Grant, announcing them as her bridesmaids.

"The best friends a girl could ask for!" Frick wrote in her story. "One of my only requests for when this day came was that these two were here with me. How lucky I am to have best friends that find so much joy in one another’s happiness.

“I couldn’t be happier knowing I’ll have both of you standing right beside me. Two friendships God knew I needed.”

Taylor’s friend also shared snaps from the engagement celebration, featuring a tree glowing in lights, creating a beautifully romantic ambience. The last post showed the couple popping open a champagne bottle as they shared a kiss to celebrate the moment.

Yesavage and Taylor first met while attending East Carolina University, and have been together since then. His fiancée has been openly supporting the pitcher since his rookie days to his debut in postseason games.

Taylor Frick has been a strong pillar for Trey Yesavage since his college days, through his debut in the MLB. Following the Blue Jays' World Series Game 7 loss to the Dodgers, Taylor penned a heartfelt note to support and motivate her fiancé:

“Words could never fully describe the emotions I’ve experienced watching you over the past year…Although the word ‘proud’ could easily be used to describe these moments, it’s so much more than that. I am completely in awe of the person you have become and the successes that God knew you deserved.

“To me, you won from the second you stepped on that Toronto field. You won with a team that believed in you, the records you have broken, & the support that is more than we could have ever imagined. You won my love, you won from the beginning.”

She further thanked Toronto for welcoming them and being by their side during all of their highs and lows. Yesavage also penned how grateful he is to find a lifelong partner in her and thanked her for being by his side.
