Detroit Tigers star Spencer Torkelson just got married to Makenna Mattei this month, and currently, the couple is in the middle of a vacation. On Thursday, Makenna dropped some breathtaking views and their adventorous experience.

Torkelson and Makenna documented their trek from start to finish. The first picture highlighted the sweeping landscape from a high vantage point, showing lush greenery, roads, and a hazy stretch of coastline in the distance. She captioned it:

"The payoff."

Her next Instagram Story revealed how she got there in the first place. She showed a photo of a muddy pair of white New Balance sneakers. She captioned the photo:

Finally, her final shot captured a jaw-dropping shot of a rugged cliffside and a lighthouse perched above the sea.

Spencer Torkelson and Makenna tied the knot in California

Spencer Torkelson had a fine year, which started with an engagement announcement on Jan. 13. Torkelson surprised Makenna at the front porch, filled with balloons, candles and flower petals. Before proposing, Torkelson received the blessing of Makenna’s parents.

11 months later, the couple officially tied the knot on November 11th in Healdsburg, California’s Wine Country. The couple's wedding ceremony was attended by loved ones and some of Torkelson's teammates in Detroit.

For the wedding, Spencer wore a classic black tuxedo and bow tie. Meanwhile, Makenna wore an off-shoulder white satin gown.

Spencer Torkelson's wife is from Petaluma, California and attended Casa Grande High School, where she played varsity volleyball and softball.

After that, she went to the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) and was involved in campus activities while studying political science.

This year, Torkelson batted .240 with 31 home runs and two stolen bases. The Tigers went to the postseason this year but went down against the Seattle Mariners in the ALDS.

Meanwhile, Torkelson is starting a new journey off the field and has already started to make memories.
