Ronald Acuna Jr. and Juan Soto were at the Chelsea, the Cosmopolitan's flashy, 3,200-seat venue, on Thursday for the 2025 MLB Awards Show. Acuna Jr. won the NL Comeback Player of the Year Award, while Juan Soto came third in NL MVP voting and also earned a spot in the All-MLB First Team.

Before they attended the awards, Acuna Jr. and Soto found time for some laughs. The Braves superstar took a video clip of Soto from the lobby, shared it on his Instagram story, and gave out a hilarious nickname to the Mets star in the captions.

"Mr Nose," Acuna Jr. wrote in the captions (Translated to English from Spanish).

Juan Soto and Ronald Acuna Jr. have a healthy rivalry. Both competed for the 2018 NL Rookie of the Year Award, which Acuna won. They were teammates at the 2018 MLB Japan All-Star Series.

The duo's friendship also includes friendly trash talk, as seen in their joint interview on MLB Network in 2023. During the interview, Soto accused Acuna of long home run trots, prompting the Braves slugger to laugh and bury his face in his hands.

After he won the 2023 NL MVP Award, Ronald Acuna Jr. played only 49 games the next season due to a leg injury suffered in May. Acuna Jr. impressed on his return in the 2025 season, recording 21 homers and 42 RBIs in 98 games.

The Braves slugger's performance earned him the NL Comeback Player of the Year Award. Incidentally, his Braves teammate, Chris Sale, won the award the previous year.

On Thursday, Braves outfielder Michael Harris II and Diamondbacks shortstop Gerlado Pedromo shared Instagram stories highlighting Acuna Jr.'s award win. Both re-shared the MLB's official post on their Instagram stories.

"The Beast," Harris captioned his post (Translated to English from Spanish).

Harris has been teammates with Ronald Acuna Jr. since 2022. Like Acuna Jr., he is also a recipient of the NL ROY Award.

"Another one of mine," Pedromo captioned his post (Translated to English from Spanish).

Geraldo Pedromo had a standout season in 2025. Pedromo finished fourth in the NL MVP voting, behind Shohei Ohtani, Kyle Schwarber, and Juan Soto.

Despite Acuna Jr.'s individual accolade, the Braves only mustered a fourth-place finish in the National League East division, missing out on the postseason for the first time since 2017.
