Anthony, the top prospect in Boston's farm system and MLB’s No. 1 prospect at the time, made his much-anticipated MLB debut against the Tampa Bay Rays in June. During his debut series, his sister, Lia Anthony, was in the stands along with other family members.

Lia shared images from a Halloween party in her latest Instagram post. She dressed as a mermaid in a white netted outfit along with her friends, while the Red Sox rookie dressed as a pirate.

While Roman Anthony established himself as one of the crucial pieces of the Red Sox's starting lineup, his sister Lia witnessed a substantial rise in her social media following after his major league debut.

Roman Anthony named AL Rookie of the Year finalist despite early end to Red Sox season due to oblique injury

Although the Boston Red Sox made it to the postseason, Roman Anthony's season ended in September after he suffered an oblique strain. His injury came in the wake of an eight-year contract extension worth $130 million signed in August.

While his rookie season ended prematurely, Anthony is one of the finalists for the American League Rookie of the Year award. He is one of the three finalists for the award, with Athletics rookies Nick Kurtz and Jacob Wilson being the other two.

Anthony is expected to face stiff competition from Kurtz for the top rookie award event though the 22-year-old Red Sox outfielder has been named the rookie with the highest long-term value by MLB's Jim Callis. Kurtz was ranked behind Anthony in the second spot by Callis.

The Red Sox outfielder finished his rookie season with 3.1 bWAR, while slashing .292/.396/.463 with 18 doubles, eight home runs and 32 RBIs. Anthony is expected to be one of the franchise players after his long-term deal in August.
