Freddie Freeman's wife Chelsea revealed story behind Dodgers star's viral worm dance

Freddie Freeman etched his name into history books after his walk-off home run in World Series Game 3 last month. While Freeman became the first MLB player to have to walk off homers in the Fall Classic, the Dodgers first baseman's viral dance after the World Series win seemingly eclipsed that milestone.

Following the World Series win, a clip of Freeman doing the worm dance during the celebrations with Dodgers players went viral on social media.

Chelsea revealed in an Instagram video that the All-Star infielder was banned from doing the worm dance.

"He got banned from doing it, but he's really good at doing the worm," Chelsea said.

The Dodgers slugger said that he was banned in 2008 with his former team, the Atlanta Braves, fearing an injury for the infielder.

"I got banned from doing the worm in 2008," Freddie said. "I did it on the field in Charleston, South Carolina and the Atlanta Braves organization said, no more because I used to get real high. Not a bad dancer."

During the World Series parade celebrations, Freddie Freeman said he wants to go for the three-peat next season.
