The LA Dodgers are reportedly involving outfielder Teoscar Hernandez in their trade talks and have emerged as one of the possible landing spots for Boston Red Sox's Jarren Duran.Duran is under team control till the 2029 season and posted a .829 OPS in the last three seasons. The Dodgers appear to be interested in acquiring the outfielder while also trying to farm out Hernandez.Coincidentally, the Red Sox are among the teams interested in Hernandez, who is coming off a down year at the plate, hitting .247/.284/.454 with 25 home runs in 134 regular-season games. With Hernandez declining on defense and no room for him as a designated hitter, since it's already taken by Shohei Ohtani, the move was always coming.Hernandez will enter the second season of his three-year, $66 million contract last offseason. Thus, the Red Sox or any other team interested in Hernandez must take note that he is still owed $33 million in the next two years. How does Jarren Duran fit with Dodgers? One thing that is clear from the above report is that the Dodgers are only willing to part ways with Teoscar Hernandez if they get an outfielder in return. The incoming person, possibly Jaren Duran, will play outfield with Andy Pages. The Dodgers could also consider moving Mookie Betts back to right field; however, last offseason, he was asked to improve his infield defense, which he did, and was there to show for everyone.Apart from Hernandez, another possible idea floated to trade Jarren Duran involved starting pitcher Emmett Shehan. The Dodgers are flooded in that department. As such, Sheehan becomes a possible trade subject. Moreover, Boston will also get pitching help in this trade. The Dodgers are equipped with several utility options, with Miguel Rojas re-signing and Tommy Edman also capable of filling the outfield. Some rumors also link the Dodgers to former MVP Cody Bellinger's free agency, who is coming off a great season with the New York Yankees. The Dodgers can also go after Kyle Tucker but there are multiple other suitors and signing him long-term could burden their payroll even more.
