During an episode of "MLB Tonight" presented by CohnReznick, MLB insider Tom Verducci compared Tucker to Rockies legend Larry Walker. MLB Network shared a video of the same on X on Monday in which Verducci was seen explaining what made Tucker similar to Walker.

"I look at comps because you're buying probably 10 years," Verducci said. "So, at age 28, what are the next 10 years going to look like? So I went back and looked at the kind of player Larry Tucker is, which is, left-handed hitter with power who steals bases and also doesn't strike out. You see that Larry Walker is a pretty close comp to Kyle Tucker."
