Mets superstar Francisco Lindor opens up about his deepest fear on the field

Boasting superb offensive and defensive ability, fans are pretty used to watching five-time All-Star Francisco Lindor go about his duties on the field with supreme confidence at this point.

As the 32-year-old revealed during Friday's episode of "Café con Lindor", though, there is one rather humorous situation that Lindor describes as his "greatest fear" when it comes to baseball.

"My biggest fear is.. I have coffee before every game. My stomach, I get anxious, I have to go to the restroom ever game, before the game. The game's usually at 7:10 PM, so [around] 6:59, 7:02, I'm in the restroom. [My] Biggest fear is to not make it to the first at-bat on time, because I'm leading off the game.

For some reason, I'm always thinking, if I'm the one sprinting into home plate and I'm out, because I wasn't there on time, what am I going to tell the media? That's my biggest fear," Lindor said. [24:16]

Along with his talents on the field, Francisco Lindor is also known for his refined fashion sense, characterized by bright outfits, unique shoes, and tasteful use of jewelry.

In the same conversation, the shortstop opened up about the thought process behind his outfits.

"When I was at home as a little kid, my two sisters wouldn't let me leave until I was dressed nicely. They wouldn't let me go out until I was dressed nicely. We are in the public eye all the time. I'm always with my people, but once I'm out, sometimes I just want to be away, and I let my outfits speak for me. I let my 'fits talk.

I express myself, I wear whatever I want. Today I have a little color on, I'm in happy mode. There are days when I give off something else, like 'don't talk to me'. At the airport, I throw on a hoodie, sunglasses, headphones, and there's no one that can talke to me. I'm in baggy clothes, I just want to be under the radar," Lindor said [16:20]
