Seattle Mariners star Julio Rodriguez, signed to a base contract of 12-year $209 million, on Saturday attended the NHL's Seattle Kraken's game against the Edmonton Oilers at the Climate Pledge Arena. The Mariners recently suffered a heartbreaking Game 7 loss last Sunday against the Toronto Blue Jays in the American League Championship Series.

However, fans on social media noticed the mellowed-down look on the center fielder's face. The wounds of the painful defeat are still fresh for the 24-year-old

Julio Rodriguez was the final out in the top of the ninth inning in the Mariners lineup. He had worked himself to a full count against Blue Jays closer Jeff Hoffman before he swung his bat on an 88 mph slider that was well outside the strike zone.

The Blue Jays came from a 3-1 deficit on the back of a three-run home run from George Springer in the bottom of the seventh inning to win the game. The Mariners, as a result, remained the only franchise in the MLB to remain without a World Series appearance.
