Former MLB pitcher John Rocker has long been open about his conservative political beliefs. Rocker is a staunch critic of Zohran Mamdani and has often made controversial and sarcastic statements about him.
Recently, the MLB veteran directed his criticism against Michelle Obama, the former First Lady of the US. On Friday, Obama spoke with Trace Ellis Rose in an interview in which the actress asked whether there is room for a woman to be the POTUS (President of the United States).
"As we saw in this past election, sadly, we ain't ready," Obama said [Timestamp 32:40]. "That's why I'm like, don't even look at me about running because you all are lying. You're not ready for a woman. You are not. So don't waste my time. We’ve got a lot of growing up to do, and there are still, sadly, a lot of men who do not feel like they can be led by a woman, and we saw it."
The X handle, "Pop Base," shared a post, highlighting Obama's comments. On Saturday, Rocker reshared the post and gave a controversial remark.
"Woman? That’s a f**king man," Rocker wrote.
Rocker's comments did in no way debate what Obama said. On the other hand, Obama's claim appears to be true, considering the fates of Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris in the United States presidential elections.
Clinton and Harris ran for office as Democratic nominees in 2016 and 2024, respectively, but both lost to Donald Trump, their Republican counterpart.
John Rocker criticizes Jasmine Crockett
Former MLB pitcher John Rocker seems to be leaving no leaves unturned when it comes to criticizing Democratic politicians. On Saturday, Rocker dug up old remarks from Jasmine Crocket, the U.S. representative for Texas's 30th congressional district.
"I want y'all to know that every day that I walk in those halls, regardless of whatever rhetoric they put out about me, I am a very serious lawmaker. At the same time, if you try me, you will find out I don't want to be clear about because I am I am truly a black woman at the same time," Crocket said in the clip of X handle "End Wokeness" from April.
Resharing the post on Saturday, Rocker gave a controversial remark, much like the one he gave Michelle Obama.
"What a disgrace that this “lady” serves in our congress. She probably spends more time on her weave than working in Washington," Rocker wrote.
John Rocker played six seasons in MLB for the Atlanta Braves, Cleveland Indians, Texas Rangers, and Tampa Bay Devil Rays. During his time with the Braves, Rocker received criticism for his controversial remarks about New York City.
