Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Jared Jones wouldn't want to injure himself close to his wedding date. A playful display of poi spinning almost ended in disaster for the groom, who is set to be wed this coming weekend.
On Tuesday, Jared Jones' fiancée, Rylie Fox, posted a clip on her Instagram featuring her future husband playing with a poi spin. He was swinging the weights in both hands, which ended up hitting him in the groin. It brought out a bright smile from the 24-year-old.

Jared Jones and Rylie are currently in Hawaii, all set to tie the knot on Saturday. The two have been together since their time in high school at La Mirada High School, situated in Los Angeles County. The earliest picture of the two on social media is from their high school prom days.
After high school, Jones declined to join college, instead playing minor league baseball for the Pittsburgh Pirates organization, who signed him in the 2020 MLB Draft. Fox, meanwhile, joined California State University. She completed her graduation in 2022.
The couple announced their engagement on December 30, 2023. Last year, around this time, Jared had teased their wedding day with a carousel picture of the two embracing on a beach in Longboat Key, Florida. Fox also celebrated a fun bachelorette with her friends in Palm Beach in September.
Jared Jones' fiancée Rylie Fox shares stunning Hawaii photos ahead of wedding day
Rylie Fox on Wednesday shared a beautiful oceanfront picture looking towards the bright blue sky in Kuai, Hawaii. The road was surrounded by greenery on either side, with the beach a few metres away. In a separate story, initially shared by her, Jessie Garcia, Rylie could be seen posing for the cameras in her white crochet dress with beautiful patterns in front of a pool.
"The bride to be," Rylie's friend wrote.

Jones had all the time this summer to prepare for his wedding as he underwent elbow surgery. Instead of taking the traditional Tommy John surgery route, the starter underwent an internal brace surgery. It fast-tracked his rehab to ten months, instead of the usual fourteen-month spell required after Tommy John.
