World Series Game 7 also had some drama in the middle when LA Dodgers pitcher Justin Wrobleski threw some high inside fastballs in the fourth inning before one 96 mph fastball finally hit Toronto Blue Jays slugger Andres Gimenez.

Gimenez exchanged words, and benches started getting cleared for a brief time. However, things de-escalated quickly. The umpires didn't deem it necessary to eject anyone but warned both dugouts. Days after winning back-to-back World Series titles, Dodgers third baseman Max Muncy shared his own account of the story, saying he might have saved Wrobleski from getting ejected.

"You know, my first reaction was like, hell yeah, don’t back down from this guy, go get him," Muncy said. "And then immediately I was like, oh crap, we need him to stay in this game. He’s got to face some more batters. So I was like, I’ve got to get him out of there.

"Thankfully, the umpires all came up to me and said, if you hadn’t gotten him out of there, we probably would’ve had to toss him."

However, fans are finding it hard to believe Muncy's account of the story about the dramatic incident.

"Max Muncy always got something to say and it's made up half the time," one fan taunted the Dodgers star.
"They so badly want to be the underdog story for some weird reason," another fan commented.
"Gimenez shat his pants LOL," one fan wrote.

"Then the umpires proceeded to warn the Jays benches as well 🙄" one fan reacted.

Meanwhile, some fans praised Muncy for keeping Wrobleski calm and in the game.

"Great job Max Muncy! X’s 🏆🏆" one fan wrote.
"Good save, Muncy," another wrote.

Justin Wrobleski felt bad after initiating a benches-clearing incident in World Series Game 7, and thereafter, his language in the postgame interview, where he said:

"I wasn't trying to [hit him]. He tried to get hit by the pitch before and then he got hit. Then he talked to me. I said come see me and he didn't . Whatever."

Wrobleski told MLB Network Radio that he apologized to his mother for his behaviour during the moment and after the game.

"I already texted my mom and told her I'm sorry," Wrobleski said. "I was just telling my dad, that was the first time the benches have ever cleared with me on the mound. Never had that happen before and I wait for Game 7 of the World Series for it to happen. But if you're going to talk to me, I'm going to talk back to you. We're competing at the highest level, I don't think there's anything personal."

Wrobleski played a key role in the Dodgers' World Series Game 7 triumph. He replaced Shohei Ohtani on the mound and went on to record four outs without giving up a single run.
