As they aim to build on the success of 2025, the Toronto Blue Jays have been quite active this offseason, bolstering their starting rotation by signing both Dylan Cease and Cody Ponce.

Even bigger moves may still be forthcoming, however, as the Jays continue to be linked with both Bo Bichette and Kyle Tucker. So far, the popular consensus is that the organization will likely be able to sign only one of the two stars.

According to insider Keegan Matheson of MLB.com, however, there is a possibility, albeit slight, that the Jays acquire both Bichette and Tucker in the coming months.

"There's a world (where Toronto signs both Bo Bichette and Kyle Tucker). I don't think it's a likely world. I still don't think it's the world we'll end up living in," Matheson said on Toronto Sports Rush (Timestamp: 6:06). "This brings us to the part of the conversation with Rogers' ownership, who has a ton of cash. I don't think that's really understood in a lot of American markets, or by a lot of American media. I don't know what the largest cell phone carrier in the States is, if it's AT&T or whatever. Imagine AT&T owned the Yankees. Coming off that World Series run, the amount of eyeballs on this team, it could only help.

"They were printing money for all of September and all of October. All of those people who came to games, people who are shopping for Christmas presents right now, buying Vladdy jerseys, George Springer jerseys, buying ALCS hats, all this money eventually ends up in one place, and that's with ownership. They have already been a high-spending team. Now, more than ever in this team's history, they should be emboldened to spend big."

Insider explains why both Bo Bichette and Kyle Tucker suit the Blue Jays' needs

Matheson also explained why both Bo Bichette and Kyle Tucker suit the Blue Jays' needs, on Wednesday's edition of "MLB Tonight."

"I still think it makes too much sense for Bo Bichette and the Blue Jays. The best version of the team has Bo Bichette at second base and Andres Gimenez probably winning a Gold Glove at shortstop," Matheson said.

"He (Kyle Tucker) is a very Blue Jays player, he does everything the Blue Jays do on offense," Matheson added. "The Jays do have that outfield need. George Springer has one year left on his contract and Anthony Santander is probably not a Gold Glover so they could go both ways."

According to Spotrac, Bichette is projected to land a deal of around $180 million this winter, while Tucker is expected to secure a contract of around $400 million.
