The 2025 World Series was an emotional affair for LA Dodgers star Teoscar Hernandez, as he faced his former team, the Toronto Blue Jays. Hernandez spent six seasons at the Rogers Centre (2017-22), and the outfielder is still great friends with former teammate Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

During the Dodgers' World Series celebrations in LA on Monday, Hernandez described how he felt while facing his former team in such a high-stakes situation.

MLB Network later posted a clip of Teoscar's comments on Instagram.

"It's really hard to explain it (the feeling of playing against the Blue Jays)," he said. "It's not nervous, but you feel your heart rocking and pounding really fast. It was a big moment for me, (going back to) that stadium, it was special. A lot of history in that stadium with the fans. It was good."

Reacting to Hernadez's comments, many fans brought up his underwhelming performance in the Fall Classic, questioning his loyalty to the Dodgers, and claiming he may have secretly wanted Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and company to prevail.

"I still believe he wanted Vladdy to win with all that useless effort," a fan wrote.
"Forever a blue jay," another fan commented.
"Either way he would have played his old team😂," another fan replied

Even though their careers have taken them their separate ways, Teoscar Hernandez and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. still root for each other from afar

Playing for two huge franchises, Teoscar Hernandez and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. are now rivals, but the pair have not allowed that fact to affect their friendship.

Speaking to insider Gabe Smallson of Newsweek, Hernandez talked about how the pair have stayed close despite now plying their trade for different teams.

"I have a good relationship with him. He's doing the same thing with me. He's following every step of my career, all of the games and everything. We had a really good communication during the season, during the playoffs, and now that we're facing each other," Teoscar Hernandez said.
